We stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Regular check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best.
Comprehensive
Physical Examinations:
evaluation of the heart, lungs, abdomen, skin, eyes, ears, nose and throat,
teeth and gums, legs and paws, gastrointestinal system, urogenital system, weight,
and dietary needs.
Puppy/Kitten
Vaccinations:
We get babies off to the right start with puppy/kitten packages to ensure your
new one is properly vaccinated, de-wormed and examined.
Diagnostic
Testing:
We offer in-house laboratory testing for Complete Blood Count (CBC), Chemistry
profile, Electrolyte profile, Fecal testing, Urinalysis, Electrocardiogram
(ECG), blood pressure reading, Radiographs (x-ray), Ultrasound, Cytology, and
many other services. We also have the ability to send out samples for testing
should it be needed.
Heartworm
Treatment:
Our heartworm treatment follows the guidelines of the American Heartworm Society.
The typical treatment is a 5-step process. We will evaluate your pet’s heart,
lungs, and labwork for changes associated with advanced heartworm disease.
Animals receive pain management and follow-up care during treatment.
Hospitalization/Treatment: We offer
hospitalization and treatment for a variety of medical/surgical conditions. We
pay particular attention to pain management, fluid, antibiotic, and nutritional
therapy for your pet. Our clinic offers open-visitation during regular
operating hours.
Microchipping: We microchip pets
with the “Home Again” microchip which allows identification of your pet and you
as its owner should your pet become lost. With registration to the Home Again
program, you now have access to a 24-hour vet hotline, an All-Points alert that
will inform area veterinarians, shelters, and rescue groups that your pet is
missing, and an ID card that will carry your pet’s medical information.
Senior
Pet Care:
We offer comprehensive testing to evaluate the health of senior pets, with a
goal of prevention and maintenance of conditions associated with aging.
Compassionate Euthanasia:
This is always a difficult decision, but, unfortunately, necessary in certain
cases. We promise to treat your pet respectfully during this process. We always
sedate patients prior to euthanization, which ensures a peaceful transition.
Clients may stay with their pet during the procedure, but this is not required.
Our compassionate staff will comfort you and your pet. After euthanasia, we
offer communal cremation, private cremation (you will keep your pet’s ashes),
or you may take your pet’s remains with you for burial.
Referrals: Should your pet need a specialist, such as an opthalmologist, cardiologist or other specialty, will see that you are referred to a hospital that will give your pet the same special care that we would.
